Jamie Lambert

Jamie is a graduate of the Māori schooling system of Aotearoa New Zealand starting with Te Kōhanga Reo Tuatahi o Tokoroa and is now heavily engaged in Māori education across the sector.
She has extensive experience in the education system in teaching, curriculum design, qualification development, resource design & development as well as evaluation.
She is a strong advocate for Māori aspirations, narratives and worldview throughout education from early childhood through to tertiary levels.
Māmā to Ashleigh and Mihipo Te Māia and Grandma to Te Ao Kamāia and they are at the forefront of her mind motivating her drive and passion to do better and be better for Māori through education.

Joel Walters
Resource Developer

Joel is a strong advocate of health and wellbeing through self-development and resource development. An extensive background in the building industry saw Joel leave his career as a builder to invest his time and energy into the wellbeing space through self-development and resource creation “making a meaningful contribution to the world.”
Joel brings with him an expansive range of skills, knowledge, experience and empathy that is a hallmark of his work ethic.

He has a vision to be able to support and develop resources that support students across the sector, with a special focus on Māori.

Ashleigh Jade Lambert-Tapine

Ashleigh Jade is a vibrant and upcoming member of our team that is passionate and committed to contributing using her administration and coordination skills.
Her skills include project coordination, systems set up and maintenance, note taking, Xero administration, accounts payable and completing funding applications.

Phil Lambert
Programme Developer, Researcher & Evaluator

Phil was born and bred in the Hokianga, Northland and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the education system. He continues to make contributions of consequence to Māori education through programme and resource development.
He has significant expertise in programme development, research, rangahau, quality assurance, and resource development.
Pāpā to Sharyne, Jamie, Josh Kane, and Michael. Koko to his many mokopuna.
Phil was a lead programme developer for Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for the He Waka Hiringa: Master of Applied Indigenous Knowledge programme as well as the Tikanga and Reo suites of programmes at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Sharyne Tuari
Resource Developer, Graphic Designer

Sharyne is an experienced programme and resource developer and valued member of our team.
A second language learner of te reo Māori, she is zealous about te ao Māori and what she can contribute to any kaupapa driven space.
Sharyne is an avid creative that contributes with various mediums including graphic design and photography.
She has also spent extensive time working in hauora through the Restorative Justice and Iwi panels spaces.

Brandon Smith
Resource Developer, Project Support

Brandon is a well-connected member of our team whose networks in the Tairāwhiti community spread far and wide.
His empathetic and kaupapa based approach drives his work ethic to ensure his contributions are making a difference to Māori communities.
Brandon is a hard-working and respectful member of the team who is also a pillar of strength and encouragement for those around him.
We are extremely humbled to have Brandon’s knowledge, experience, and aroha based practice within our team.

Ivan Tuari
Resource Developer, Project Support

Ivan is a positive team member who has strong networking and people skills.
He is a strong advocate for rangatiratanga and being self-sufficient so his love for the moana and whenua is where he shines.
He has a broad range of skills and experience ranging from truck driving, fishing and diving to illustration, graphic design and resource development.
